Meet Our Teachers
Meet Our Amazing Team…
Passionate, experienced and here for every student.
At MC Stage Academy, our team isn’t just made up of skilled teachers, we’re performers, choreographers, mentors and cheerleaders who care deeply about helping every student shine in their own way.
We bring years of experience across dance, singing, and performance but just as importantly, we bring kindness, encouragement and fun to every session.
Marie Cashin - Founder & Managing Director
Marie Cashin founded MC Stage Academy (originally MC Dance) in 2003 with a vision to create a welcoming, inclusive space where young people could build confidence and creativity through performance. A proud Carlow native, Marie has spent her life immersed in the local arts scene, drawing inspiration from her musical roots in the well-known Hennessy family.
A graduate of the College of Professional Dance in Dublin, she holds a Diploma in Dance Training and has dedicated the past 20 years to teaching, choreographing, and directing across Carlow and beyond. Her choreography has featured in major productions including Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Beauty and the Beast, Back To The 80’s, High School Musical and Sister Act, working with secondary schools, musical societies, and stage schools in Kilkenny, Clane, Gorey, and further afield.
Marie has seen hundreds of young performers pass through her school, many of whom have gone on to pursue careers in the arts. Known for her energy, compassion, and community spirit, she continues to be a driving force in nurturing the next generation of talent through dance, singing, and stage performance.
